The Sales Coordinator serves as the key link between the sales team, clients, and internal departments. Their main role is to ensure smooth coordination of all sales activities, maintain accurate records, follow up on leads, and assist in achieving the company's sales targets through efficient process support.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Support & Coordination
Coordinate daily sales operations between tele-sales, field sales, and marketing teams.
Support Sales Head/Managers with documentation, proposals, and quotations.
Maintain and update client databases, sales trackers, and lead management tools (CRM).
Ensure timely communication between clients and technical/delivery teams.
Prepare sales-related documents such as agreements, quotations, and invoices.
2. Lead Management & Follow-Up
Track new leads generated through calls, campaigns, or references and assign them to the respective sales executives.
Regularly follow up with leads to ensure timely closures.
Monitor lead progress through CRM and highlight inactive or pending leads to the Sales Head.
3. Reporting & Documentation
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
Maintain sales funnel reports -- inquiry, demo, proposal, negotiation, and closure stages.
Assist management in forecasting sales trends and preparing sales performance presentations.
Maintain accurate documentation for deals, contracts, and payment collections.
4. Client Communication & Support
Handle incoming client calls or emails related to product information, quotations, or meetings.
Coordinate demo schedules between clients and technical/sales teams.
Follow up for client payments, renewals, and pending dues.
Ensure smooth handover of confirmed clients to the implementation or support teams.
5. Sales Team Assistance
Help in scheduling meetings, calls, and reviews for sales staff.
Track performance metrics for telecallers, field executives, and sales managers.
Manage travel allowances, visit reports, and lead assignment records.
Ensure the sales team follows company process guidelines for reporting and documentation.
6. Coordination with Other Departments
Work closely with marketing for campaign tracking and lead generation outcomes.
Coordinate with delivery and finance teams for client onboarding and billing.
Maintain communication between management and field teams regarding targets, updates, and issues.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good knowledge of CRM tools and MS Excel.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Basic understanding of software product sales and SaaS-based solutions.
Attention to detail and follow-up discipline.
Ability to coordinate between multiple departments efficiently.
