Job Purpose:
The Sales Operations - Modern Trade role is responsible for enabling strong performance across key accounts by driving planning, analytics, operational coordination, and in-store execution. The role supports MT sales teams through data-led insights, efficient processes, and close coordination with supply chain and retail partners to maximize sales, visibility, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Performance Management:
Drive sales planning, forecasting, and target setting for Modern Trade key accounts.
Develop and manage MT-specific dashboards, KPIs, and performance trackers (Primary, Secondary, Fill Rate)
Analyze account-level data to identify growth opportunities, productivity gaps, and risks.
Track promotions, schemes, and price-offs to ensure effectiveness and ROI
Key Account & Distributor Operations:
Support key account operations, including order management, claims tracking, and compliance with commercial terms.
Coordinate with MT distributors / CFA partners to ensure smooth billing, timely deliveries, and documentation accuracy.
Monitor secondary sales, stock levels, and store-wise productivity
Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with Supply Chain & Planning team to ensure optimal stock availability across MT accountsTrack fill rates, OTIF, inventory aging, and replenishment cycles to minimise stock-outs and excess inventory.
In-Store Execution & Visibility:
Coordinate with Sales Officers, Merchandisers, and Promoters to ensure daily execution across MT stores.
Ensure effective POSM deployment, planogram compliance, and shelf visibility as per brand guidelines.
Track execution of promotions, new launches, and visibility programs at store level.
