Sales Executive / Business Development



- Sales Executive / Business Development (Sheets & Strips Division)



Location Focus:

South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh)

Industry:

Steel Sheets, Slit Coils, Strips, Foils & Metal Products

Role Objective



To drive sales growth and expand business opportunities in South India for the Sheets & Strips division through strategic business development, customer relationship management, market intelligence, and coordination with internal departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Management



Serve as the

first point of contact

for incoming sales inquiries (phone, email, online). Prepare, submit, and follow up on

quotations, costings, and technical offers

in coordination with the external sales team. Process customer orders

accurately and within specified timelines

, ensuring adherence to internal procedures. Develop a

comprehensive understanding of product range, grades, applications, and industry requirements

. Maintain long-term relationships with

existing customers

and ensure high customer satisfaction. Ensure

timely collection of outstanding payments

while sustaining a professional client relationship.

Business Development - South India



Identify and develop

new business opportunities

in target sectors:
automotive, fabrication, electrical, packaging, appliance manufacturing, electronics, defence, etc.

Conduct

market research, competitor analysis, pricing trends, and demand mapping

for growth planning. Acquire

new clients, conduct technical discussions

, and support commercial negotiations. Develop potential

dealer/distributor networks

across major industrial clusters. Coordinate and participate in

trade exhibitions, client visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations

.

Internal Coordination



Coordinate with

Production, Logistics, Planning & Technical teams

to meet customer specifications. Track

stock availability, lead times, dispatch schedules, and delivery commitments

. Maintain customer-specific quality requirements (thickness tolerance, surface finish, hardness, packaging norms, etc.). Generate

regular sales reports, customer feedback reports, forecasts and performance metrics

for submission to the Sales Manager.

Desired Skill Set



Proven experience in

industrial B2B sales

, preferably in

steel sheets, slit foils, coils or metal products

. Strong

communication, commercial negotiation, and presentation skills

. Ability to

travel across South India for customer visits and market development

. Analytical ability to understand

costing, margins, and pricing strategies

. Proficiency in

MS Office / ERP / CRM

tools (preferred). Ability to work independently with a

target-driven mindset

and business growth approach.

Qualifications



Diploma / Degree in

Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production / Marketing

.

3 to 7 years

of experience in Steel / Industrial B2B Sales. Knowledge of

local languages (Tamil / Telugu / Kannada)

will be an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per year
