Role Summary
The Sales Assistant is responsible for providing an exceptional in-store experience by assisting customers with jewellery selection, explaining product details, and supporting sales operations. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and a customer-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales
Greet customers warmly and understand their jewellery requirements.
Assist customers in selecting gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery.
Explain product features including purity, weight, making charges, certification, and pricing.
Promote current offers, schemes, and new collections.
Upsell and cross-sell products while maintaining customer trust.
Handle customer queries professionally, both in-store and over phone/WhatsApp.
Product & Store Management
Maintain proper display of jewellery and ensure showcases are clean and organized.
Handle jewellery carefully and follow all safety and security protocols.
Support stock verification, tagging, and inventory management.
Coordinate with the back office or workshop for customized orders.
Compliance & Policies
Follow company policies related to sales, exchange, return, and buyback.
Ensure transparency in pricing and compliance with hallmarking and certification standards.
Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Team Support
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store targets.
Assist seniors and managers during peak hours or special promotions.
Participate in product training and skill development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum qualification: 12th pass / Graduate preferred.
Prior experience in jewellery retail or luxury retail is an advantage.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English (local language preferred).
Strong customer-handling and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of gold, diamonds, and jewellery pricing (training will be provided).
Honest, well-groomed, and presentable personality.
