Job Title: Sales/Marketing Officer/Manager - Special Steels (South India)

Function: Sales & Business Development

Location: Based out of Chennai / Bangalore, / Any Major Industrial Hub in South India. Reporting to: Regional Business Head - South India

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This role is focused on expanding BOS's footprint across South India by aggressively developing new customers, strengthening relationships with component manufacturers, and executing region-specific sales strategies.

The role involves significant field travel, solution-selling, and working closely with the sourcing and logistics team to fulfil customer expectations.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Identify and acquire new customers across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala

Build and maintain strong relationships with component manufacturers in the auto, defence, and engineering segments.-

Travel extensively to industrial clusters, conduct plant visits, and deliver BOS's value proposition face-to-face.

Generate inquiries, submit offers, follow up aggressively, and convert opportunities into long-term business.

Work with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, approvals, and support for customer onboarding.

Maintain accurate reports on customer engagement, sales funnel, pricing, and competitor activity.- Understand technical specifications, grades, and applications of special steels to guide buyers.

Represent BOS with professionalism, urgency, and a problem-solving mindset in every customer interaction.

Educational Qualifications:- B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical / Metallurgy (preferred)- Diploma holders with strong domain experience may also be considered.

Professional Experience:- 4-8 years in sales or marketing of special steels, industrial components, or related B2B technical products.

Must be open to intensive travel across South India.

Experience in interacting with the purchase, production, and quality heads in manufacturing units.

Technical & Commercial Skills:- Strong understanding of carbon, alloy, and tool steels.- Good commercial acumen and negotiation capability.

Familiarity with steel supply chain, mill MOQs, and logistics timelines.

Local language knowledge will be an additional advantage

Strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation.

Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.

Ability to maintain reporting discipline and pipeline visibility.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE- Salary will be as per industry standards, and Travel reimbursements.
