, a premium tea powder brand, and is seeking an experienced
Sales & Marketing Manager
with a strong background in
tea powder / FMCG sales
. The role is highly
target-oriented
and focuses on building distribution networks, brand development, and driving retail sales growth across assigned territories.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Distribution Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve
primary and secondary sales targets
Appoint Super Stockists, Distributors, and Sub-distributors
in assigned regions
Expand market reach by onboarding retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers
Monitor distributor performance and ensure target achievement
Retail & Market Expansion
Drive
retail sales development
and improve market penetration
Plan and execute retail schemes, visibility drives, and in-store promotions
Ensure product availability, proper placement, and competitive pricing
Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and consumer preferences
Brand Development & Marketing
Lead
brand-building activities
for KeralaChai
Coordinate ATL/BTL activities such as dealer meets, tasting programs, roadshows, and exhibitions
Work closely with marketing teams on packaging, promotions, and communication strategies
Strengthen brand visibility across retail outlets and trade channels
Team & Channel Management
Recruit, train, and manage sales executives and field staff
Guide and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
Conduct regular market visits and performance reviews
Reporting & Planning
Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and market analysis
Track sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions
Ensure timely collections and credit control through distributors
Candidate Requirements
Minimum
5-10 years of experience
in
tea powder / FMCG sales
, preferably in South India
Proven experience in
super stockist and distributor appointment
Strong understanding of
tea trade, retail dynamics, and distribution channels
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively
Result-oriented mindset with strong execution capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
MBA / Graduate with specialization in Sales & Marketing
Experience in launching or scaling a
new FMCG brand
Existing distributor or trade network is an added advantage
