The Sales & Marketing Executive (Fertilizers) is responsible for promoting and selling fertilizer products to farmers, distributors, and agri-dealers. The role involves building strong relationships with clients, achieving sales targets, conducting product demonstrations, and implementing marketing strategies to increase market penetration and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Generate new business leads and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, agri-dealers, distributors, and retailers.
Conduct field visits to promote fertilizer products and ensure product availability in the market.
Market Research & Analysis:
Gather market intelligence on competitors, customer preferences, and pricing trends.
Identify potential areas for expansion and recommend sales strategies accordingly.
Marketing & Promotion:
Organize farmer meetings, crop seminars, field demonstrations, and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate with marketing teams for local-level advertising, brochures, and promotional material.
Assist in launching new products in assigned territories.
Customer Relationship Management:
Provide after-sales service, address complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collect feedback from customers and report insights to management.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and market activities.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
Coordination:
Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams for timely delivery of products.
Collaborate with agronomists and technical teams for field support and product training.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
B.Sc. (Agriculture), M.Sc. (Agri), BBA/MBA in Marketing or related field.
Experience:
1-3 years in fertilizer, agri-inputs, or agrochemical sales preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of crops, soil, and fertilizer usage
Ability to work independently in rural/field environments
Basic computer and reporting skills
