Sales & Marketing professional with prior experience in the chemical industry
to drive business growth, expand customer base, and manage key client relationships. The candidate should have strong technical understanding of chemical products along with proven sales and market development capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new customers, distributors, and channel partners for chemical products.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in assigned territories/segments.
Handle negotiations on pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
Generate inquiries, prepare quotations, and close sales orders.
Marketing & Market Expansion
Conduct market research to identify new applications, industries, and opportunities.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote products and brands.
Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer technical meetings.
Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and demand forecasts.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality teams for timely order fulfillment.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales support effectively.
Technical & Commercial Coordination
Understand product specifications, MSDS, COA, and regulatory requirements.
Support customers with basic technical guidance and application knowledge.
Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers for product availability and quality assurance.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and MIS for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Science / Business
(preferred).
Proven experience in
chemical sales and marketing
.
Strong understanding of chemical products, applications, and customer industries.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively for customer visits and business development.
Proficiency in MS Office; CRM/ERP experience is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in B2B chemical sales
Dealer/distributor network handling
Knowledge of domestic and export chemical markets
Strong analytical and relationship-building skills
