The Sales & Business Development Executive (Schools) is responsible for promoting and selling educational products, learning solutions, or school services directly to schools. The role focuses on identifying potential schools, building relationships with school management, and achieving sales targets through presentations, negotiations, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:1. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition
Identify and approach potential schools (public, private, CBSE, ICSE, or State board).
Schedule meetings with principals, management committees, and decision-makers.
Generate leads through field visits, education fairs, references, and digital outreach.
Present company offerings such as learning programs, software, books, or training solutions.
2. Sales & Negotiation
Conduct detailed product demos and explain value propositions to school authorities.
Prepare and submit commercial proposals, quotations, and agreements.
Negotiate pricing and finalize deals within company policy.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
3. Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with school heads, teachers, and coordinators.
Ensure regular follow-ups for renewals and additional product needs.
Handle client queries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism.
4. Business Development
Explore new business opportunities such as partnerships, tie-ups, and academic collaborations.
Stay updated on education trends, curriculum changes, and competitor activities.
Represent the company at education exhibitions, conferences, and workshops.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain detailed records of visits, meetings, and sales reports in CRM systems.
Coordinate with marketing and operations teams for proposal design and timely delivery.
Provide management with market insights and customer feedback.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Education (MBA preferred).
Experience:
1-4 years of experience in institutional or school sales (books, software, learning tools, or services).
Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
Understanding of school systems and education products
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and online communication tools
Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients
