Job Summary:

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented

Safety Officer

to oversee health and safety protocols at our construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines, identifying potential hazards, and implementing safety measures to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct routine site inspections and risk assessments, identifying unsafe practices and conditions. Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Organize and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency drills. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations. Maintain records of safety-related incidents and training sessions. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor compliance. Liaise with site management, contractors, and regulatory bodies on all safety-related matters. Promote a strong safety culture among all workers and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. Certified Safety Officer credentials (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable. Minimum 2 years of experience in construction site safety. Thorough understanding of local and national safety regulations and standards. Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Working Conditions:

Field-based role with regular exposure to construction environments. Must be willing to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed. Use of protective gear and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
