ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Safety Supervisor at Miracle Coatings Private Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees across our construction projects, particularly in painting works. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your expertise will help prevent workplace accidents and create a safe working environment on all sites.

Miracle Coatings Private Ltd (formerly Bangalore Paints Pvt Ltd) was established in 1980 and manufactures a comprehensive range of decorative paints - internal and external, masonry finishes, and special industrial formulations, paints, and coatings.

The company has a technical collaboration for the manufacture of specialized industrial coatings with Brillux - Germany, one of the largest paint companies in Germany, with a turnover of almost Euro 600 million.

Over the last 15+ years, BPL has carved a niche in the field of project application in the B2B segment with real estate developers and builders. With the vast experience in manufacturing gained over the years, BPL, under its brand name MIRACLE, has undertaken large supply and apply contracts for painting works with leading developers and builders and has completed several million square feet of painting contracts on some of the iconic projects in Bangalore, Chennai, and Pune.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Safety Training: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.

Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.

Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on safety activities, incidents, and compliance efforts.

Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe working environment.

PPE Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all employees.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Safety Supervisor in the construction industry.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices in the construction industry.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety information and training.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and implement effective solutions.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Leadership: Strong leadership skills to influence and guide employees towards a safety-first mindset.

Proactive: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety issues before they become problems.
