The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment within the logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations. The role includes conducting safety training, inspections, and ensuring compliance with company and statutory safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs across all logistics and warehouse operations.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and company safety regulations.
Conduct safety induction and training programs for employees, drivers, and contract workers.
Maintain records of safety incidents, near misses, and prepare reports for management review.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Supervise the use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness for any safety-related emergencies.
Liaise with external safety agencies, clients, and statutory bodies during audits or inspections.
Promote a culture of safety awareness among all staff and ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or equivalent.
Minimum
1-3 years of experience
in safety supervision, preferably in
logistics, warehouse, or transportation sector
.
Good knowledge of
OSHA standards, Factory Act, and other applicable safety regulations
.
Hands-on experience in conducting safety training and emergency response drills.
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
