MCPL is looking for a Safety Supervisor
The job description is as below:
o Plan meetings to identify health and safety concerns inherent in daily work plan operations.
o Ensure the preparation and implementation of a Site Safety and Health Plan for the site.
o Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
o Support the development of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
o Inspect work sites for safety hazards, such as unsafe scaffolding or electrical wiring issues.
o Assign assistants and manage the incident safety organization.
o Organize toolbox talks for workers, supervisors, and other employees at the site, guiding them about safety measures regularly.
o Prevent unsafe acts and take immediate action to avoid them on all sites.
o Inform management about safety plans and requirements, and maintain updated reports according to standard formats.
o Plan and ensure cost-cutting safety measures on the project site.
o Document as per management and client requests.
o Conduct safety audits and inspections.
o Ensure proper housekeeping at the site.
o Conduct investigations of all accidents and recommend appropriate safety measures.
o Ensure proper and 100% usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Coordinate rehabilitation for injured employees.
o Formulate an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) manual and organizational policy.
o Conduct first aid, fire drills, on-the-job training, toolbox meetings, gate meetings, induction, and emergency precautions.
QUALIFICATIONS
o
Education:
Diploma in Fire & Safety or a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety is preferred. A Certificate in occupational health and safety is a plus.
o
Gender Preference:
Only male candidates are preferred. o Experience: Minimum 0-1 years of experience in the construction field.
o Language:
Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada is preferred.
o Communication Skills:
Excellent documentation, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
o Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of construction safety regulations, codes, and standards.
o Risk Assessment:
Familiarity with risk assessment and hazard analysis.
o Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office.
o Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills to convey safety procedures to workers and management.
o Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills to address safety issues on construction sites.
o Legal Compliance:
Compliance with local and national regulations is crucial; staying informed about changes in safety laws is essential.
o Additional Requirement:
Possession of a two-wheeler is a plus.
