to oversee and ensure workplace safety compliance. The Safety Steward will assist in implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and supporting safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas for potential hazards.
Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately to the Safety Officer/Supervisor.
Assist in conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
Ensure workers are using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Support incident/accident investigations and maintain safety-related records.
Coordinate with supervisors to implement corrective actions for identified hazards.
Assist during emergency drills and ensure readiness for emergency situations.
Requirements
Minimum [X] years of experience in a safety or HSE-related role (construction, manufacturing, or similar industry preferred).
Knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and safe work practices.
Ability to communicate clearly and enforce safety policies.
Physically fit to move around site areas and conduct inspections.
Certification in occupational health and safety (preferred but not mandatory).
