The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and promoting a safe working environment across all project sites and fabrication facilities related to windows, facades, and aluminium systems. This role includes conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, training sessions, and ensuring adherence to legal and client-specific safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and company standards.

Conduct daily site inspections to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), scaffolding, lifting equipment, and handling of aluminium and glass materials.

Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses, particularly for facade installations at height and glass handling operations.

Monitor and ensure safety during facade erection, glazing works, aluminium profile cutting/fabrication, and crane/lifting activities.

Organize and lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency response drills.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain updated records of all safety documentation, audits, and permits to work.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety measures are integrated into planning and execution.

Stay updated on current OHS legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the aluminium, facade, or construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of scaffolding, working at height, and facade installation hazards.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, especially related to aluminium and glazing works.

Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in incident investigation and report writing.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site operations.

Leadership in promoting a proactive safety culture.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience working with multinational facade or aluminium system contractors.

First Aid and Fire Fighting certifications.

Knowledge of local labour and safety laws.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
