Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free working environment in the warehouse by implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor

health, safety, and environment (HSE)

policies in the warehouse. Ensure compliance with

Factories Act, Warehousing Safety Norms, OSHA guidelines, and local statutory requirements

. Conduct

daily safety inspections

of warehouse operations, material handling equipment, racking systems, forklifts, and loading/unloading areas. Identify hazards, conduct

risk assessments

, and recommend corrective & preventive actions. Ensure proper usage of

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

by all employees and contract staff. Conduct

safety induction and toolbox talks

for new joiners, contractors, and drivers. Investigate

accidents, near-miss incidents

, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and implement preventive measures. Maintain records of

accidents, safety trainings, safety audits, fire drills, and mock drills

. Coordinate

fire safety arrangements

, emergency evacuation plans, and first-aid facilities. Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and clients during

safety audits and inspections

. Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure

5S and safe material stacking practices

. Ensure safety compliance during

forklift operations, pallet movement, height work, and chemical handling

. Support management in achieving

zero accident targets

and continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / Degree in

Safety Management, Industrial Safety, or NEBOSH/IOSH

(preferred). 2-5 years of experience in

warehousing, logistics, or industrial safety

. Good knowledge of

warehouse safety standards and statutory compliances

. Strong communication and training skills. Ability to identify risks and enforce safety discipline on the shop floor. Basic knowledge of MS Excel & report preparation.
