Job Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures at the project site to ensure a safe working environment. The role involves conducting safety inspections, promoting safety awareness among workers, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs at the site. Conduct daily toolbox talks and regular safety training sessions for site personnel. Carry out site safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions. Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers. Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare and submit reports with corrective actions. Maintain safety documentation, permits, and inspection records. Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to enforce safety standards. Ensure compliance with local safety laws and statutory requirements. Display safety signages and ensure emergency preparedness at site (firefighting, first aid, etc.). Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to identify potential hazards and take preventive actions. Knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis. Leadership and team coordination skills.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical preferred). Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory). Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in building/construction projects.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
