Job Title: Safety Officer - Construction Site

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to oversee safety operations at our construction sites in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all safety regulations, conduct training, and promote a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards as per statutory and company guidelines.

Conduct daily site safety inspections and prepare safety audit reports.

Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend control measures.

Ensure PPE compliance across the workforce.

Investigate and document accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents; recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety compliance.

Conduct safety induction and training programs for workers and staff.

Ensure adherence to labour laws and construction safety norms (IS codes, NBC, etc.).

Maintain records of safety observations, training logs, incident reports, and safety meetings.

Coordinate with the admin team for medical aid, fire drills, and emergency response planning.

Assist in obtaining and renewing site safety certifications/licenses as applicable.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred).

Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety (mandatory).

3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in residential or commercial construction projects.

Strong knowledge of Indian construction safety laws and regulations.

Ability to communicate effectively in Telugu, Hindi, and English.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing on-site conflicts and emergencies.

Preferred Qualities:

Prior experience working with large-scale real estate developers or infrastructure firms.

Familiarity with digital safety monitoring tools or mobile checklists.

Ability to train unskilled labour in basic safety practices.

Salary Range: ?25,000 - ?40,000/month (Based on experience)

Working Days: 6 Days a Week

Job Location: Across project sites in Hyderabad

Pay: ?14,402.33 - ?38,727.43 per month
