Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with

Factories Act, 1948

,

State Factory Rules

, and other applicable safety regulations. Implement and monitor

occupational health and safety policies

across manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with

PPE usage

, machine guarding, and safe work practices.

Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment

Identify workplace hazards related to

machinery, compressors, pressure systems, electrical equipment, welding, and material handling

. Conduct

risk assessments

and recommend preventive and corrective measures. Ensure safe handling and storage of

chemicals, lubricants, refrigerants, and compressed air systems

.

Safety Training & Awareness

Conduct

safety induction programs

for new employees and contractors. Organize regular

toolbox talks

, mock drills, and safety training sessions. Promote a strong

safety culture

among employees.

Accident Prevention & Investigation

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Prepare

incident investigation reports

and implement corrective actions. Maintain accident and incident records as per statutory requirements.

Fire & Emergency Management

Implement

fire safety systems

, emergency evacuation plans, and mock drills. Ensure availability and maintenance of

fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits

. Act as a member of the

Emergency Response Team

.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain safety records, registers, permits, and compliance documents. Prepare and submit safety reports to management and statutory authorities. Coordinate during

factory inspections and audits

.

Contractor & Vendor Safety

Ensure contractors follow safety standards and site safety rules. Conduct safety briefings before commencement of contractor work.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in

Safety Engineering

,

Industrial Safety

, or equivalent. Certification in

Industrial Safety

(ADIS / DIS / NEBOSH preferred).

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

manufacturing safety standards

Understanding of

compressed air systems and pressure equipment safety

Good communication and training skills Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments Knowledge of

ISO 45001

(added advantage)

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
