Position:

Safety Officer- Male

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical, industrial, etc.) or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

5- 8 years

Salary:

30,000 - 40,000/- (Based on Experience)

Languages known:

Tamil, English, Hindi(Optional)

Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to machinery, chemicals, electrical systems, and work processes.

Create, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to the textile environment, including emergency plans.

Ensure the facility complies with all local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards).

Conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees, including new hires and contract workers, on topics like fire safety, hazard communication, and PPE use.

Incident investigation: Investigate all workplace accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and verify that all tools, machinery, and equipment are in good working order and have necessary safety guards.

Emergency preparedness: Develop and manage emergency response plans, including evacuation drills, and ensure appropriate safety equipment like fire extinguishers are maintained.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.

Act as a point of contact for all safety-related matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external bodies as needed.
