Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs at the site.
Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and take corrective/preventive actions immediately.
Ensure workers wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safety protocols.
Maintain good housekeeping and hazard-free working environment at all times.
2. Training & Awareness
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and staff.
Train employees on emergency procedures, fire safety, first aid, and safe work practices.
Display safety signboards and emergency instructions at strategic locations.
3. Accident Prevention & Reporting
Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-miss cases and submit detailed reports.
Maintain accident/incident records and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate with the site management for implementing risk control measures.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain all safety documentation such as safety checklists, permits, and audit reports.
Prepare Daily / Weekly / Monthly Safety Reports for submission to management.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client safety requirements, and ISO standards.
Support external and internal safety audits at the site.
5. Coordination
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for safe execution of activities.
Liaise with the client's safety team and local authorities when required.
Participate in safety committee meetings and ensure action points are implemented.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Diploma / Degree in Engineering OR any discipline with
Industrial Safety Certification
such as:
Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized by Govt.)
NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA (preferred for multinational projects)
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction / industrial / infrastructure projects.
Good knowledge of safety laws, risk assessment, and accident prevention practices.
Ability to handle emergency response and first-aid situations.
Key Skills:
Strong observation and reporting skills.
Good communication and leadership ability.
Familiar with site HSE audits, safety permits, and documentation.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
