Job Description

Ensure that the garment manufacturing facility complies with all local, state, and national safety regulations and standards.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

Develop and conduct safety training programs for all employees, including new hires and existing staff.

Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents.

Ensure the availability, maintenance, and proper use of safety equipment and personal protective gear, such as helmets, gloves, masks, and safety goggles.

Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first-aid stations, and fire drills.

Maintain accurate records related to safety inspections, incidents, training, and safety equipment inventory.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices and recommend changes to policies and procedures to enhance safety.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Relevant safety certifications and training. Knowledge of Tamil Nadu's safety laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Prior experience in safety management, preferably in the garment industry, is a plus
