The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by proactively identifying risks, enforcing safety standards, and supporting employees in following health and safety practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
Enforce workplace safety rules and regulations
Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
Perform routine safety inspections and audits
Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Ensure availability and correct usage of PPE
Maintain safety-related records, reports, and permits
Coordinate with site supervisors and management on safety issues
Assist in emergency drills and preparedness programs
