In this role, you are: Carrying out general activities to support the execution of Health & Safety activities. To maintain the Site H&S Management system You are responsible for Perform general support activities. Decides on the method and sequence of work and does this in consultation with more senior workers or group leaders. Decides on the desirability of using and making (administrative) tools. Assesses and analyses the desirability/necessity of improvements and simplifications in processes and procedures and initiates a change request. Ensuring conformance to the Philips Corporate Safety Standards. Conduct surveys and inspections for the factory. Conduct EHS trainings. Conduct Risk assessment. Issue Work Permit. Conduct safety Gemba and internal audits. Implementing the ISO 45001: 2018 HSMS requirements. Recordkeeping/ ISO documentation including EHS compliance. Contractor and visitor safety management. Driving safety KPI for the site. Data management - Updating the software- Wercs, Credit 360, Enhesa, Legatrix etc. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Supervisor feedback (survey) Time-to-resolve issues Projects within agreed time/quality timeframe Site safety index REQUIRED COMPETENCES Philips Behaviors Nimble Learning Risk Assessment Change Management Problem Solving Incident Investigation Regulatory knowledge Basic H&S inspection skills Communication Skills Computer Skills JOB OVERVIEW: Is a skilled worker with a number of coordinating tasks. Assignments are carried out in a professional way according to quality requirements and are finished in time. Stimulating and guiding the simple routine EHS processes including Risk Assessments and, Accidents/Incident investigation and basic H&S inspection Operates relatively autonomously withing procedures, methods and techniques. Coordinates with cross-functional groups for H&S KPI deployment in factory Dimensions related to Know-How, Complexity, and Accountability Handles departmental orders via the Procurement department. Thinks up practical improvements and carries them out (output, serviceability, reliability) on the basis of inspections and own findings. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Helps to prepare project-based improvement activities within the boundary conditions. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Operates within standardized ways of working and procedures. Needs adequate freedom to act to execute the chosen way of working. Sets priorities for own work based on general guidelines. The level of support influences the output of the EHS department. Dimensions Relating to Know-How: Technical Know-How, Management Breadth, Human Relation Skills Analyses all malfunctions that occur within own special field. Reasons where the cause of the malfunction lies in the process and remedies it. Assists in remedying complex malfunctions. Problem-solving capability. Basic theoretical knowledge of a part of the EHS landscape. Supporting the organization requires process thinking and knowledge of the EHS processes. The required level of know how is typically vocational, combined with knowhow of specific products, procedures and applications. Activities are aimed at execution of own tasks where exchange of information is of importance. Contacts are partly of informative or requesting nature. The assignment information is not always complete and leaves some scope for own interpretation. Dimensions Relating to Problem Solving: Thinking environment & -challenge Works in accordance with rules and procedures. Determines on the basis of own understanding/technical knowledge how best to solve abnormalities. Instructs and coaches team members. Identifies problems in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes proposals for solution. Varying work non-repetitive assignments. The existing procedures give direction on critical points and indicate a processing sequence. Own choice of approach. Making a choice from different possibilities and choosing from known solutions. Duration of assignment varies from a few days to a week. Identifies the problem and some relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each, using standard procedures, and suggests decisions. Education & Training A degree in any branch of engineering with Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) Certified Lead Auditor ISO 45001: 2018 or Internal Auditor NEBOSH certification an added advantage Experience & Background 3-5 years of related EHS experience in manufacturing industry/factory in a supervisory capacity. Experience with Construction site and contractor safety management Possesses adequate knowledge of Marathi language.
