Establish, implement, and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures.
Monitor daily site activities to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and practices.
Ensure that all workers adhere to the company's safety standards and government regulations.
Training & Awareness:
Organize and conduct induction safety training for new workers.
Deliver regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and workshops.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among workers.
Inspection & Compliance:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly site safety inspections.
Ensure all machinery, equipment, and tools are properly maintained and safe to use.
Monitor the use of PPE and ensure availability on-site.
Incident Management:
Lead investigations for all incidents, near-misses, and injuries.
Prepare incident reports, root cause analyses, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with medical teams and emergency response services in case of accidents.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain safety records such as inspection reports, permits, audits, and incident logs.
Submit safety performance reports to site and project management teams.
Track and report leading and lagging safety indicators.
Regulatory Liaison:
Ensure compliance with local and national safety legislation (e.g., IS codes, Factory Act, BOCW).
Interface with government safety inspectors and provide necessary documentation.
Site-Specific Challenges:
Ensure fall protection systems are in place and functional on high-rise structures.
Manage crane safety, scaffolding inspections, and material handling in vertical construction.
Oversee fire safety measures and evacuation procedures in residential clusters.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Certified Safety Officer (NEBOSH IGC, OSHA 30/OSHA 45, IOSH, or equivalent).
Valid first aid and fire safety certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in construction safety roles, with a focus on high-rise towers and residential projects.
Experience working with contractors, PMC teams, and developers.
