The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, compliance with statutory regulations, and fostering a culture of health and safety across the organization. This role involves monitoring, training, and implementing safety measures to protect employees, equipment, and the environment.
Location
The Safety Supervisor may be relocated to any location within India or abroad, as per organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Factories Act, OSHA, ESIC, etc.).
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
Organize safety training, awareness sessions, and emergency drills for employees.
Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and enforce safety standards.
Liaise with government agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders on safety matters.
Maintain documentation of safety records, permits, and compliance reports.
Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and employee engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
Certification in safety management (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred).
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
Experience
1-3 years of experience in safety management within manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
Experience in conducting safety audits and training programs

Supervises: Safety Assistants / Coordinators (if applicable)
