Job Description

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the workplace is safe and complies with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. The role involves inspecting work areas, identifying hazards, and enforcing safety policies to protect workers and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.

Ensure compliance with local safety laws and company policies.

Investigate accidents or incidents and prepare detailed reports.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety training sessions for employees.

Maintain and update safety records and documentation.

Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensure its availability.

Support emergency response and evacuation plans.

Liaise with government safety inspectors and ensure legal compliance.

Promote a culture of safety awareness among all staff and contractors.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related fields.

Certification in NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent preferred.

Minimum [3-6] years of experience in a similar safety role, preferably in [construction/manufacturing/oil & gas/etc.].

Knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and incident investigation.

Strong communication and training skills.

Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
