SP Design Developers LLP is looking for a vigilant and experienced
Safety Officer
to ensure health and safety protocols are implemented and followed at all construction sites. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in construction safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident management. This role is critical in promoting a safe work culture and ensuring compliance with legal and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and enforce safety protocols at project sites
Conduct daily site inspections and identify potential hazards
Organize toolbox talks, safety training, and drills for site workers
Ensure use of PPE and compliance with site-specific safety guidelines
Maintain documentation for safety audits, accident reports, and risk assessments
Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective measures
Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safety measures are integrated into daily activities
Display and maintain mandatory safety signage across sites
Stay updated with latest government safety regulations and industry standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety / Industrial Safety or Civil Engineering
3-6 years of experience in safety supervision, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector
Certification in safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) is an added advantage
Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and legal compliance
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Good communication and reporting skills
Ability to train and guide site personnel on safety practices
