To ensure a safe and healthy working environment in the garment manufacturing unit by implementing safety policies, statutory compliance, risk prevention measures, and continuous safety awareness among employees.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor
factory safety policies
as per Factories Act, 1948 and local labor laws
Conduct
regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
across production floors, cutting, stitching, finishing, packing, and utility areas
Identify workplace hazards and recommend
corrective and preventive actions
Ensure proper usage of
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
by all employees
Monitor
fire safety systems
, emergency exits, evacuation plans, and mock drills
Investigate
accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
; prepare incident reports and root cause analysis
Organize
safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs
for workers and supervisors
Maintain
safety records, registers, MSDS, and compliance documentation
Coordinate with
government safety inspectors, audits, and certifications
Ensure machine guarding, electrical safety, ergonomics, and chemical handling compliance
Promote a strong
safety culture
within the organization
