Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:

Regularly identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures, including managing hazardous materials.

Policy & Procedure Development:

Create, update, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.

Training & Education:

Develop and deliver safety training, drills, and awareness programs for all staff.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure adherence to local, national (e.g., OSHA), and international safety laws; maintain safety records and documentation.

Incident Investigation:

Investigate accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Workplace Inspections:

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor physical conditions, work practices, and equipment.

Safety Culture Promotion:

Foster a proactive safety culture through communication, engagement, and promoting safe work practices.

Emergency Preparedness:

Assist in developing and practicing emergency response procedures.

Equipment Management:

Advise on the quality and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use.

Advisory:

Advise management and departments on effective safety measures and planning.

Monitoring:

Oversee daily operations to ensure safety adherence.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance.
