The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with statutory safety rules and company safety standards.
Conduct safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
Maintain safety records, permits, and inspection checklists.
Coordinate with supervisors and workers to ensure safe work practices.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at all work areas.
Act as a first responder during emergencies and accidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Safety / Industrial Safety or related field.
Certification in Fire & Safety is preferred.
Knowledge of safety laws, HSE standards, and emergency procedures.
Good communication and observation skills.
Ability to conduct training and safety awareness programs.
Experience:
Fresher or 1-3 years of experience in a safety-related role (preferred).
