Safety Officer (Offshore, India)

Position:

Safety Officer

Location:

Offshore Projects - India

Experience:

Minimum

7+ Years (Offshore mandatory)

Certifications:

NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), additional safety certifications preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce

HSE standards

on offshore sites as per Indian regulations (

DGMS / OISD

) and company policies. Conduct

toolbox talks, site safety inductions, and awareness training

for offshore crew. Support in the preparation and monitoring of

Permit to Work (PTW)

and

Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

. Carry out

daily safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments

on offshore platforms. Ensure correct and consistent use of

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

by all personnel. Report and investigate

accidents, incidents, and near misses

, recommending corrective actions. Assist HSE Supervisor/Manager in

emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation plans

. Maintain

safety documentation, compliance records, and daily/weekly reports

.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Safety.

7+ Years offshore experience

(oil & gas / marine / EPC projects).

NEBOSH IGC (mandatory)

; First Aid, Fire Safety certifications preferred. Knowledge of

Indian offshore safety regulations (DGMS, OISD, IS codes, Factories Act)

. Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to offshore working conditions and multicultural teams.

Pay: From ?60,000.00 per month
