Position Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all workplace safety standards, implementing effective safety protocols, and creating a culture of safety at the project site. This role demands vigilance, technical knowledge, and the ability to train and motivate the workforce to adopt safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and enforce site safety rules, policies, and statutory regulations. Conduct

daily safety inspections

and regular audits of tools, equipment, and work areas. Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents. Organize and conduct safety training sessions. Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective measures. Maintain all safety records and documentation as per company and client requirements. Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and client representatives on safety matters. Ensure compliance with PVUNL/NTPC safety guidelines and contractor safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

B.Tech in Safety Engineering

with

minimum

of

3 years

of relevant experience,

OR

Diploma in Engineering

with a

Safety Certification

and

minimum 5 years

of relevant experience. Certification in Industrial Safety is desirable. Strong knowledge of national safety standards, occupational health, and environmental guidelines.

Skills Required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct training and motivate the workforce. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.

Pay: ₹37,500.00 - ₹41,500.00 per month
