We are a leading organisation in the Gas Systems sector, specialising in LPG, CNG, and NG operations. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards across all operations. The Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, site-specific safety policies, and overall HSE excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure 100% compliance with PESO, OISD, Factory Rules, and site-specific HSE policies.
Monitor daily operations in NG, CNG, and fuel yards to enforce safe practices.
Conduct workplace inspections, safety rounds, and audits during each shift.
Enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and PPE compliance.
Act as the first point of contact for accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.
Maintain proper documentation of incidents, unsafe acts, and near-misses.
Escalate critical safety issues to Site In-charge and customer HSE teams promptly.
Coordinate with Site In-charge, Engineers, and customer HSE representatives for safety reviews.
Attend customer safety meetings and audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities (NCs).
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
Maintain updated records of safety inspections, PTW permits, PPE issuance, etc.
Drive 5S, Kaizen, and safety improvement initiatives at site.
Identify potential hazards and recommend engineering or procedural solutions.
Review and update emergency preparedness plans regularly.
Participate in statutory and internal safety audits.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of PESO, OISD, Factory Rules, and other statutory safety regulations.
Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments effectively.
Excellent incident investigation and RCA skills.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Good communication, coordination, and team engagement skills.
Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing preventive measures.
Eligibility / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Safety, Industrial Safety, or relevant field.
Minimum five years of experience as Safety Officer in LPG, CNG, NG, or Oil & Gas operations.
Certified in relevant safety courses (like NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is an advantage.
