Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
Maintain knowledge of all safety regulations (local and international) applicable to the construction industry.
Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies during safety audits and inspections.
Safety Training & Development
Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Organize toolbox talks and regular training sessions to promote safety awareness.
Maintain records of safety training and certifications for all personnel.
Incident & Accident Investigation
Investigate any safety-related incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Prepare detailed reports, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Report all incidents and accidents to the management and relevant authorities as required.
Documentation & Reporting
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of safety activities, audits, and incident reports.
Prepare and submit monthly safety reports to the management.
Ensure proper documentation of permits, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
Emergency Response Planning
Assist in developing and updating emergency response and evacuation plans.
Conduct periodic drills to ensure the workforce is prepared for emergencies.
Coordinate with emergency response teams to ensure prompt action during emergencies.
Promote Safety Culture
Foster a safety-conscious environment by engaging employees and contractors.
Implement safety incentive programs to encourage safe practices on-site.
Act as a point of contact for all safety-related issues and promote a proactive approach to safety.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education
: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications
: NEBOSH Certification or equivalent safety certifications.
Experience
: Minimum 5+ years of experience in a safety role within construction or heavy industry.
Skills
:
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct detailed risk assessments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
