Job Summary:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and fire prevention systems at industrial workplaces. The role demands a proactive individual who can ensure compliance with safety policies, conduct risk assessments, carry out fire safety drills, and promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in line with industrial safety standards
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
Manage fire safety programs including installation, maintenance, and inspection of firefighting equipment
Train employees on safety protocols, fire prevention, emergency evacuation, and first aid
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective measures
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NFPA standards)
Coordinate with local fire departments and safety authorities for inspections and drills
Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and incident logs
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to reduce workplace hazards
Promote safety awareness and foster a safety-first culture among all employees
Monitor use and condition of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in
Industrial Safety

Fire and Safety Engineering
, or related field
Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) or equivalent certification (mandatory)
2 to 3 years of practical experience in industrial safety roles, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or oil & gas sectors
Thorough knowledge of fire safety systems, hazard control, accident prevention techniques, and emergency response
Familiarity with legal safety standards such as OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to conduct safety training and awareness sessions
Proficient in preparing safety reports and documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: ₹35,000 to ?40,000 per month (varies by industry and location)
