: Safety Officer - ADIS Certified (Data Center Experience)

Qualification:

ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) + Diploma / Degree in Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure

compliance with all safety regulations

and standards (Factories Act, NFPA, OSHA, IS codes, etc.) within the

data center environment.

Conduct

routine safety inspections and risk assessments

across all critical infrastructure zones - including UPS rooms, battery banks, HVAC areas, electrical panels, etc. Oversee

fire safety systems

such as FM200/Novec 1230 gas suppression, VESDA systems, smoke detectors, fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits. Implement and monitor

Permit to Work (PTW)

systems for high-risk activities including LOTO, hot work, confined space, and electrical isolations. Support

24/7 facility operations

by enforcing safety procedures and ensuring emergency preparedness at all times. Conduct

incident investigations

, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions. Deliver

toolbox talks, induction training, and monthly safety awareness programs

to employees, vendors, and contractors. Maintain

statutory compliance documentation

and liaise with external agencies during audits or inspections. Support the

implementation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001

safety protocols as applicable to data center environments. Drive

behavior-based safety (BBS)

culture and encourage hazard reporting and proactive safety practices.

Educational & Professional Qualifications:

Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Fire & Safety)

ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety)

- Mandatory NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely - Preferred Certification or experience in

ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 27001

compliance - Advantageous

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

critical infrastructure safety

, fire protection systems & electrical safety Familiarity with

data center operations and facility management protocols

Incident investigation & RCA techniques (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram) Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in

high-availability, 24x7 mission-critical

environments Sound understanding of emergency response planning and drills

Experience Required:

Minimum

4 to 5 years

in EHS roles, including

at least 2+ years in data center or critical facility

environments Proven track record of managing on-site safety in

live operational facilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
