Role Summary



The Safety & Infrastructure In-Charge is responsible for ensuring the physical safety, security, and infrastructure readiness of all four school buildings. This includes proactive risk management, emergency preparedness, maintenance coordination, and compliance with safety regulations to create a secure and nurturing environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities



1.

Campus Safety & Security



Monitor and manage security personnel across all buildings. Oversee access control systems (CCTV, biometric entry, visitor logs). Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Implement and review emergency response plans (fire, earthquake, lockdowns). Coordinate with local police/fire departments for drills and support.

Infrastructure Oversight



Ensure timely maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems. Monitor building health (leaks, cracks, pest control, etc.). Supervise vendors and contractors for repair and renovation work. Maintain infrastructure inventory and upkeep schedules.

Emergency Preparedness



Conduct regular fire and evacuation drills. Maintain first-aid kits and emergency supplies in all buildings. Train staff and students on emergency protocols. Ensure clear signage for exits, assembly points, and emergency contacts.
4.

Compliance & Documentation



Ensure adherence to local safety regulations and school board guidelines. Maintain records of safety drills, incident reports, and maintenance logs. Prepare reports for school leadership on safety and infrastructure status.
5.

Stakeholder Coordination



Liaise with school leadership, admin, and teaching staff on safety needs. Address safety concerns raised by parents or students. Support event safety planning (annual day, sports day, etc.).

Cyber Safety

Health & Hygiene

Clean and well-maintained toilets Regular pest control and sanitation Functional medical room with first-aid supplies Health check-up camps and protocols

Structural Safety

Earthquake-resistant design and retrofitting Secure railings and staircases Crack and dampness monitoring Safe storage of heavy materials

Visitor Management

ID verification and visitor badges Visitor logs and escort protocols Restricted access to sensitive zones CCTV monitoring of entry points

Child Protection

Staff sensitization and training Safe reporting and redressal mechanisms Designated child protection officer Confidentiality and support systems

Event Safety

Crowd control measures Emergency exits and signage On-site medical support Risk assessment for large gatherings

Weather Preparedness

Lightning arrestors and surge protection Monsoon readiness (drainage, roofing) Shaded waiting areas and shelters Heatwave and cold weather protocols

Educational Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical), Facilities Management, or a related field. Certifications in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or Disaster Management are highly desirable.

Experience Preferred



Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, safety coordination, or infrastructure oversight--preferably in an educational or institutional setting. Proven experience in handling multi-building campuses and coordinating with external agencies.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
