Job Summary:

The

Safety Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace health and safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and accident-free work environment. This role involves conducting safety inspections, coordinating training, monitoring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor the company's HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific safety plans at construction sites. Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and control potential hazards. Ensure compliance with PPE usage, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities (e.g., lifting, scaffolding, excavation, hot works). Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to workers and subcontractors to promote safety awareness. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented. Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and compliance checklists. Support emergency preparedness activities such as fire drills, first aid readiness, and coordination with site management. Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure all site operations align with statutory and client safety requirements. Report key safety findings, non-conformities, and progress updates to the HOD - Safety for review and action.

Requirements:

Minimum 08+ years of experience in a similar safety role (Prior experience in Building construction firm preferred). Advance Diploma, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Professional certification preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor). Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards. Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with safety management systems (SMS).

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel to various construction sites as required. Must be willing to conduct regular site visits and inspections.
