Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Postgraduate degree/diploma in HSE Management, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore wind farm projects, offshore oil & gas, or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of managing safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory approvals for at least two executed EPC/Turnkey projects.
Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:
- Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards specific to offshore wind farm projects.
- Ensure compliance with Indian and international offshore safety and environmental regulations, including DNV-GL, IEC, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare and manage all regulatory permits, licenses, and approvals from central and state government authorities, including MoEF&CC, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, and offshore regulatory agencies.
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and oversee mitigation strategies for marine and coastal ecosystems.
- Lead risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, and safety audits throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor marine operations to ensure compliance with environmental and safety norms during cable laying, turbine erection, and offshore substation installation.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government bodies, classification societies, and local stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals and compliance.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for project teams and contractors.
- Prepare regular compliance reports and documentation for management and regulatory agencies.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of offshore wind project regulations, marine ecosystem protection, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Hands-on experience with permit processes, environmental management systems, and government approval procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of international safety standards and auditing practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.
Preferred Certifications:
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification.
- Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (preferred).
- Offshore safety training such as BOSIET or GWO.
Salary Range (Monthly):
?3.0 - 5.0 Lakh per month, negotiable based on experience and project portfolio.
