JOB DESCRIPTION - SAFETY ENGINEER / HSE ENGINEER
(G+12 Township Construction - Mivan Shuttering)
Position: Safety Engineer / HSE Engineer
Location: Gadchiroli, Maharashtra
Experience Required: 5-10 Years (Mandatory)
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering with Safety Certifications preferred

ROLE OBJECTIVE
To ensure zero-incident operations and maintain a fully compliant Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management System across all construction activities -- structural, Mivan formwork, MEP, finishing, roads, and external development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -- POINT-BY-POINT
A. Site Safety Governance
1. Implement HSE Plan, Safety Management System, and Statutory Compliance as per IS & OSHA standards.
2. Develop Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments (HIRA) and Method Statements for all critical activities.
3. Conduct Daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and weekly safety review meetings.
4. Ensure availability and correct usage of PPE (Helmets, Harness, Hi-Vis Jackets, Gloves, Safety Shoes).

B. Structural & Mivan Shuttering Safety
5. Inspect Mivan shuttering staging, working platforms, access ladders, anchor points, guard rails.
6. Check formwork pressure control, form tie systems, alignment, and safety while shuttering striking/de-shuttering cycle.
7. Ensure steel reinforcement work safety -- tying tools, cutting operations, cover block handling.
8. Supervise concrete pouring areas with fall protection, barricading and tag systems.

C. Working at Height & Fall Protection
9. Implement Permit To Work (PTW) for working at height, edge protection, and lift shaft safety.
10. Ensure full compliance to IS 3696 (Scaffolding Safety Standards).
11. Regular inspection of scaffolding, mobile platforms, tower cranes, boom lifts, and rope access systems.

D. Equipment, Machinery & Electrical Safety
12. Certify operators & verify lifting equipment, cranes, hoists, and slings with valid TPI certificates.
13. Implement LOTO Procedure (Lockout Tagout) for electrical works.
14. Ensure DG set, temporary power cabling, lighting meet safety norms.

E. Fire, Emergency & Hazard Control
15. Maintain Fire Fighting System, extinguishers, hoses, alarms, and evacuation routes at each level.
16. Conduct mock drills, emergency response planning, first aid training.
17. Ensure flammable materials are stored as per MSDS guidelines.

F. MEP & Internal Works Safety
18. Ensure confined space work safety during overhead tanks, sumps, shafts operations.
19. Monitor hot works (welding/cutting) with Hot Work Permits.
20. Ensure trenching, pipe laying, and cable-laying safety in underground utilities.

G. Finishing & External Development Safety
21. Inspect facade works, balcony railing safety, plastering and painting scaffolds.
22. Monitor road construction safety -- movement of heavy vehicles, traffic management, signage.
23. Develop public safety barricading around project boundary.

H. Documentation & Reporting
24. Maintain Incident Register, Accident Investigation Reports, and Near-Miss Records.
25. Conduct Safety Audits, prepare CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
26. Track compliance through Safety Checklists, ITPs, equipment calibration records.
27. Submit Daily Safety Report (DSR) and Monthly HSE Performance Reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering
5-10 years mandatory experience in High-Rise RCC building projects.
Preferred Certifications:
NEBOSH / IOSH / Safety Diploma
First Aid, Fire Safety Training
Strong knowledge in HSE requirements for Mivan and MEP integrated works.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
