Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Site Safety Oversight:

Monitor day-to-day site operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification at all project sites. Recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure adherence to local, state, and national safety codes and standards applicable to interior fit-outs and construction activities.

Training & Induction:

Provide safety induction and periodic training to all site personnel, subcontractors, and workers on safe practices.

PPE Management:

Ensure proper usage and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all job sites.

Emergency Preparedness:

Develop and implement emergency response plans, fire drills, and evacuation procedures at project locations.

Accident Investigation:

Lead incident investigations, document reports, and implement corrective actions to avoid future occurrences.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain and update safety records, inspection checklists, site audit reports, and statutory compliance logs.

Vendor Coordination:

Ensure that vendors and subcontractors also follow safety guidelines while working on-site.

Daily Toolbox Talks:

Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings relevant to site activities.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field. Certification in Safety is highly preferred. Minimum 4-6 years of proven experience in safety management within interior fit-out or commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of electrical, carpentry, gypsum, and allied interior works safety protocols. Knowledge of local safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements. Excellent communication and observation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, site engineers, and vendors.
