Job Title: Safety EngineerLocation: [City, State]Department: Engineering / SafetyReports to: Safety Manager / Head of EngineeringPosition Type: Full-timeJob Summary:The Safety Engineer at Frauscher is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The Safety Engineer will work closely with various departments to ensure the safety and reliability of Frauschers products and operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues. Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and codes, including OSHA, ISO, and industry-specific requirements.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Promote awareness of safety practices and procedures.
• Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes. Ensure that all safety measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, training records, and audit findings. Prepare regular reports for management.
• Product Safety: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that all products meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in design reviews and safety assessments of new and existing products.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and training exercises.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices and processes. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance safety performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to support safety initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety engineering, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Experience with rail technology or related industries is a plus.
