Job Title: Safety Assistant - Construction Contracting

Location: Ernakulam

Experience: Minimum 0 - 2 years in construction safety or related field.

Salary: [As per industry standards]

Job Responsibilities:

1. Site Safety Monitoring & Compliance:

Assist in implementing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulations at the construction site.

Conduct routine site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Support the Safety Officer in monitoring workers' adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

2. Safety Training & Awareness:

Assist in conducting safety training sessions and toolbox talks for workers.

Promote a safety-conscious culture by educating site personnel on best safety practices.

Distribute safety notices, guidelines, and instructions as required.

3. Incident Reporting & Documentation:

Help in investigating accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents.

Maintain records of safety violations, inspection reports, and corrective actions.

Assist in preparing safety reports and submitting documentation to management.

4. Emergency Preparedness & Response:

Ensure emergency procedures are in place and communicated to all site personnel.

Assist in conducting fire drills, first aid training, and evacuation procedures.

Support the Safety Officer in managing emergency response situations.

5. Coordination & Support:

Work closely with the Safety Officer, Site Engineers, and project team to address safety concerns.

Help implement corrective actions for identified safety hazards.

Ensure all safety equipment is available, maintained, and in good working condition.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.

Familiarity with risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.

Strong communication and observation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
