Context/Scope:
The global IS function aims to create value for Diageo by driving exceptional business performance through the design and delivery of integrated processes, systems, and data, managing costs through excellence in service delivery. The function has been through a significant change in recent years, transitioning from a largely regional / market-based organisation to a function with a truly global strategy and organisation.
IS requires excellent business partnership with Finance to deliver first class global Business Performance management (BPM) and Decision Support processes.
The IS project portfolio is managed on a global basis with the IS Function having full accountability so a good quality, detailed BPM process is essential. This role is responsible for the Planning and Reporting process of the Corporate IS projects.
Handling of Fixed Asset Accounting process which involves review of FA requests (capitalisation, transfers & disposals)
Work on Planview tool \xe2\x80\x93 extract reports and upload the financial statements into Planview upload.
Exposure to month end journal entries, reclassification entries and correction/adjustments post able on Internal order level and cost centre level.

:

  • Preparation & review of monthly accrual for the various cost center managers and making-sure journals are back up with proper supporting.

- Preparation of monthly journals, recharges & ICO agreements to ensure IT cost been allocated as per service rendered- Processing of Contract Cost recharges & Accruals
  • Processing of Contract Cost recharges & Accruals
  • Review of GDBS Balance sheet for Asset under construction and Software under development balances (follow up with project managers if necessary) and initiate activation
  • Creation of IO Internal Order & AUC for the IT Projects. Further ensuring cost been tracked closely
  • Reconciliation of Actual spent vs Budget figures of IT Managers
  • Query resolution of various IT Project Managers
  • Identify and deliver improvement initiatives to continuously improve the quality of the planning and reporting process
  • Added advantage of FA process


Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • University / College degree in finance / accounting
  • 3-4 years experience in finance field preferably in corporate
  • Part Qualified accountant (desirable)
  • Excellent financial system and Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a role requiring significant communication skills with remote locations
  • Language: Excellent business English
