RSM is looking for a Supervisor to join our Technical Accounting Consulting (TAC). The Supervisor will be an integral team member by assisting in our TAC practice. The Supervisor will work with teams of technical accounting on different engagements in area of New Accounting Standard Implementation, Capital market readiness, Audit readiness. This team assists to clients to better understand the implication of changes in accounting standards guidelines as well to assist them in area of complex accounting matters. Our clients include firms in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, life sciences, and manufacturing to name just a few.

Qualification and Minimum Entry Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant/CPA with 4-8 years of technical accounting experience.

- Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and FASB regulations

- Advanced written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent team and project management skills

- Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements

- Experience in Complex financial Instruments (Derivatives, Warrants, Preferred Stock etc.).

- Assist in the preparation and review of technical memos and other disclosures on engagements

Position Responsibilities:

- Participate in and supervising multiple engagements within the Technical Accounting Consulting practice to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to U.S. based public clients

- Drafting technical accounting memos on complex financial instruments topics such as FASB ASC 815 (Derivatives and Hedging), ASC 825 (Financial Instruments), ASC 860 (Transfer of Financial Assets), ASC 810 (Consolidation) and ASC 470 (Debt)

- Experience working in financial services industry (Banking, Asset Management, Specialty Finance and Insurance)

- Experience in Hedge Accounting, including documentation of hedge relationships, effectiveness assessments, and preparation of hedge accounting entries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date hedge documentation in accordance with US GAAP requirements.

- Stay informed about emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes related to complex financial instruments under US GAAP.

- Conduct technical research as needed to address accounting issues and ensure compliance.

- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures related to complex financial instruments, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.

- Demonstrate Strong knowledge of complex accounting concepts.

- Supervise Seniors/Associates on engagement teams.

- Candidate should have experience of being a liaison between US and India team to understand the importance of working as one team.

- Understand RSMs service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery.

- Collaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complex accounting matters.

- Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables.

- Open to work on other solution sets considering business requirements.
