Job Description

A Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a senior sales professional who oversees a specific geographic region to drive revenue, manage a team of sales representatives, and implement the company's sales strategy. Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, monitoring performance, building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, analyzing market trends, and reporting sales results to senior management. The role acts as a crucial link between corporate headquarters and the field sales team. Core responsibilities

Sales strategy and execution:

Develop and implement regional sales strategies, set sales goals, and forecast sales volumes to achieve company targets.

Team management:

Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives and other managers, while monitoring their performance and providing guidance.

Client and market management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, identify new business opportunities, and stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.

Performance analysis:

Monitor and analyze sales data to appraise team performance and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory insights to senior management.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments like marketing, product development, and service to ensure alignment and support for sales efforts.
Key skills and qualifications

Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Strategic thinking and analytical skills to interpret market data. Experience in sales, often with a strong track record of performance. Adaptability, persistence, and a results-oriented mindset.
