Job Title

Operator - RS-4 Printing & Slotting Machine

Job Purpose

To safely operate, set up, monitor and maintain the RS-4 combined printing & slotting machine for corrugated board so that production targets are met with required quality, minimal wastage, and consistent output.

Key Responsibilities

Set up the RS-4 machine for each production job, including: Loading corrugated board sheets (pre-cut or feed) into the machine. Changing printing plates / sleeves, aligning colour registration and adjusting print settings. Adjusting slotting/creasing knives, depth, feed alignment for the box type. Ensuring the correct job specification (size, flute type, board ply, colour, slot/crease). Operate the machine during the shift: Monitor feed, print quality (colour, registration, image sharpness), slotting/creasing accuracy. Check for defects (mis-print, mis-slot, board damage, feeding errors) and take immediate corrective action. Maintain machine speed consistent with targets and quality standards. Perform basic machine maintenance & cleaning: Clean printing section (rollers, plates, ink), change inks as needed. Check chain-feeder, slots, knives for wear or misalignment. Lubricate machine parts as per schedule or as needed. Report any mechanical breakdowns or abnormal behaviour to maintenance team. Record-keeping and reporting: Log production quantities, wastage, machine downtime, shift handover issues. Maintain print quality logs, colour change-over records, job change records. Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping and quality standards: Follow lock-out/tag-out, electrical isolation, machine guard procedures. Keep work area clean, adhere to safety PPE requirements. Work together with QA/Inspection to maintain output within specs. Support continuous improvement: Suggest improvements to reduce waste, improve change-over time, enhance machine efficiency. Train or guide junior operators/assistants in machine operations best practices.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
