Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Rotogravure Machine Operator

to join our chemical manufacturing and screen-printing facility in Changodar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining rotogravure printing machines to ensure high-quality output for packaging, labels, and specialty chemical-based printed materials.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Production

Set up, operate, and monitor

rotogravure printing machines

as per job specifications. Install cylinders, ink trays, doctor blades, rollers, and other machine components. Manage print runs for chemical labels, packaging films, industrial laminates, and specialty printed substrates. Adjust machine parameters (speed, pressure, temperature, tension, viscosity, etc.) to maintain print quality. Ensure optimal ink usage and coating uniformity, especially with

chemical and specialty inks

.

Quality Control

Inspect printed materials for color consistency, registration, defects, and coating quality. Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary corrective adjustments. Ensure products meet company and client specifications, including chemical-resistant and durable print requirements.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform routine cleaning and basic mechanical maintenance of rotogravure printing equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and printing-related issues. Report major breakdowns or maintenance needs to supervisors/maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all

EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)

protocols for chemical handling and machine operation. Ensure safe storage and usage of inks, solvents, coatings, and chemical materials. Maintain cleanliness and order in the printing area.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily production logs, ink usage records, job cards, and downtime reports. Coordinate with production supervisors, QC team, and maintenance staff. Assist in inventory checks for cylinders, inks, films, and consumables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma / Technical Certification

in Printing Technology preferred. 1-5 years of experience operating rotogravure machines in printing, packaging, or chemical industries. Knowledge of

ink viscosity control, solvent-based inks, substrates, and color matching

. Ability to read job specifications, artwork, and technical drawings.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
