ROS Developer (Mechatronics Background)

We are seeking a skilled ROS Developer with a strong background in

Mechatronics

to design develop, and implement robotics software solutions. The ideal candidate will work on integrating hardware and software components, developing robotic algorithms, and contributing to the advancement of our autonomous and intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain robotic applications using ROS/ROS2. Integrate sensors, actuators, and embedded systems with robotic platforms. Create and optimize algorithms for navigation, perception, motion planning, and control. Work with mechatronics hardware, including microcontrollers, motor drivers, and embedded interfaces. Develop simulation environments using Gazebo, RViz, or similar tools. Implement computer vision, object detection, or SLAM modules when required. Debug hardware-software integration issues and ensure smooth system functionality. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure cohesive system development. Maintain proper documentation of code, experiments, and system architecture. Optimize system performance for real-time and embedded robotics applications. Conduct testing, validation, and calibration of robotic systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.*
Strong understanding of ROS/ROS2 architecture and build systems (catkin, colcon). Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, ESP32) and embedded systems. Solid foundation in robotics concepts: kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and sensor fusion. Experience with C++, Python, and Linux-based development. Knowledge of hardware communication protocols (UART, CAN, I2C, SPI). Familiarity with CAD models and mechanical systems (bonus). Experience with simulation tools: Gazebo, RViz, Webots, or Isaac Sim. Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have): Experience with machine learning or computer vision frameworks (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow). Knowledge of robotic arms, mobile robots, drones, or AGVs. Understanding of PCB design and basic electronics. Prior experience in robotics research or product development.
